Grrr hair dresser has messed up my hair twice now can i demand a re-fund?

Ok so i had my hair stripped and re-coloured on the 2nd of january looked nice until i got home and realised the roots were ginger! (my natural hair colour is a dark brown). So i rang and said they needed to fix it as i paid 拢127!! so on the friday just gone i went back and they coloured the roots and some of the hair and it looked ok a little dark but ok. So i washed my hair on saturday things were ok i didn't really focus on my hair over the weekend but i looked in my bathroom light this evening and it appears that a lot of my hair on the top has gone black (back to square one AGAIN!!). Also in natural light the colour has loads of red tints which i reallydon'tt want the hair dresser did say to me because a dye i had used before i dyed my hair in the past had red tints in it the bleach bath may not get rid of it. I'm so angry I feel kinda bad cause im not one for complaning but i did pay 拢127 whichisn'tt money you can just throw away. What i want to know is do i have a right for a refund as i'm gunna just get it done else were im kinda suprised though cause i did get it done at a regis salon. Or is all i can do is go back and demand they re-do it the girl who done my hair seems so useless!.Grrr hair dresser has messed up my hair twice now can i demand a re-fund?
While going into the salon ranting and raving will probably sort out the anger you're feeling, it may be advantageous to go back to the salon, and have a quiet, private chat with the person in charge.

Explain the original mistake that the hairdresser made, and how/why it wasn't what you wanted/asked for. Then, go on to explain how their ';fix'; had made things even worse.

Ask for a refund, or for credit with them, but if they offer another ';solution'; for you, make sure that they tell you everything that could go wrong, the risks involved, and make sure that you're making an educated decision.

Scaring off their other customers isn't going to make them any more willing to help, so don't go in there, shouting and screaming.

Hope that your hair-raising ordeal (*groan at pun*) is soon remedied.

it doesn't matter how many times you go back they have a responsibility to fix it and if they say no then they should give you your money back but if they are sick of seeing your face or you theirs then they should definitely give you your money back and go somewhere else
Yes you can tell her, say that this has happened twice already and that you want your money back or a refund=]and if they don't want to loose you as a customer they will give it 2 u.
you should have the right to a re-fund

but you might want to show her a picture of the colour you want,

so you both are on the same page about what you want!

You can go back and have them fix it, but they will not give you your money back. Ask for someone that is a master or senior stylist to do it. Also I would stay away from Regis....
id go back and get it fixed but after that never go back there again. i dont think you can demand a refund though. unlucky! =)
maybe you weren't clearer with what you wanted, or maybe you have different lighting in your house than in the salon.

*sigh* I totally feel your pain. Going from black is a tough process. My sister had to pay a lot of money also to go from black to brown, and it didn't work at the first either. She had to slowly let it grow out and slowly get highlights, and now she's got it to blonde, but only because all the black is totally grown out. I myself just did highlights and that made it grow out more even and the roots weren't as obvious. It sounds like your hair stylist tried their best, but I don't know what else they could do? If they did strip the black, then as you wash it, it should continue to lighten. I probably would call them and ask what they suggest, but don't be mad. It's REALLY hard to go from black to anything else. (personally, it think they should have a warning on black hair dye boxes that says this, and the hair dressers that dye hair black should always warn people of how tough black to get out)
regis seems like a hit or miss kind of hair salon, i was surprised by my experience (surprisingly, however, it turned out so well!) when i went there too a few years ago.

though in your case it sounds like they goofed not even once but twice. then it's best to just go ahead and say you want a refund. they progbably won't have a problem doing that (especially considering the stylists work on tips as well. unless you talk to the person who did your hair. anyways good luck with that. it's one of the rare hair horror stories about salons, which have always most often caused me to do my own hair at home.
I would go back and talk to them and see tell them you are not happy with what has been done, so you are going to go else where to have your hair done and ask if you could have a refund if they refuse tell them that you will contact the hair dressing federation.

Contact the hair dressing federation to see what your rights are. If you are in-titled to a refund then just let them deal with it from there

I would recommend going to a less expensive salon they are all just the same and most hair dressers use the same products. Because prices are more expensive people tend to think that they will get better results. NOT TRUE. I run my own salon and keep my prices very cheap and most of my costumers are always happy with there hair!
My hair is dark brown %26amp; i had it highlited but before the hairdresser attempted to lighten it she warned me that it may not take so it was up to me to take the risk. I was reluctant to go ahead so she cut a few strands of my hair %26amp; put the dye on %26amp; it came out very light so your hairdresser is to blame for the mistake, she should of warned you first that is her responsibility not yours so sue her especially as you paid a lot of money, my hair cost me 50 quid %26amp; i was very pleased with the result so you would be in your right to go back %26amp; demand your money back %26amp; if they refuse tell them you are not going to leave it. If you went into a shop to buy a dress then when you got it home it was stained or torn you would take it back %26amp; get a refund so what's the difference? Do it it's your right or if your a little worried phone Trading Standards they will be on your side %26amp; complain to them on your behalf. Hope i've helped %26amp; good Luck.x
go back to the hair dressers and get your money back and explaine what has happend and ask for a full refund and get some do it your self die from super drug coz that is the best stuff!
the reason your hair will apear redy is because dark hair has alot of red undercoats that cant be help when you lift dark hair it goes light if your not happygo in ask to speak to the manger dont shout or be funny becuase they wont want to help just explain you are not happy and they will fix it and sort it out i doubt you will get a refund because of the service was o long x
