I need a perm bad but it's my first time at this hair dresser this Wednesday- when should I perm my hair?

I usually perm my hair but I have found a hairdresser that I want to try out. I don't want her to do my perm my first time going to her so my question is: ';If I have a hair appointment- I'm getting a roller wrap- on Wednesday. When is a good time between now and then to perm my hair?';

No I won't be using any chemicals or heat in it except to blow dry it.

Thanks and if you are a professional that would be great but I like those who may do their own hair too.I need a perm bad but it's my first time at this hair dresser this Wednesday- when should I perm my hair?
The best time will be when you feel comfortable with the cosmetologist's skills. If you're really concerned then I'd get there early for the appointment and pay attention to the hair of her other customers and how she treats their hair and how their hair looks at the end, but, of course, how it looks doesn't tell you if she overlapped the perm or anything, but you can tell a good hairstylist by how they handle their customer's hair. The longer you can go between perms then the healthiest it is for your hair and scalp. I stopped going to salons because I can take care of my own hair. I'm not permed anymore, but when I was I only went to the hair salon for a touch-up.I need a perm bad but it's my first time at this hair dresser this Wednesday- when should I perm my hair?
get it permed by them once you learn to trust them with your hair.
I know how you feel. The same thing happened to me when i moved. I found a salon that i wanted to try out so i let the hair dresser there dye my hair and trim the ends. After i saw that i liked the way she had done it i made an appointment to get a perm. I explained to her in detail how i wanted it and i brought some pictures of the other perms i had gotten and how i had gotten it the other times. I think you should get a trim or something so that it shows you that you can trust them with perming your hair.

It may take her 1 or 2 times to get the exact perm style you want. Like the tightness or the way it falls etc. As i said bring her some pictures and explain it in detail. If you can see if she has the perm rods your other salon used. (As in the color and size) It could be a change for the better because the perm solution could be better like the one that the new salon i go to now (the one i mentioned in the beginning) uses a different perm solution it doesn't dry my hair out or damage it like the other one did and it lasts a lot longer and the new salon i tried i love and i go to it all the time now.
