My hair is died a light brown with bleach highlights it's naturally dark brown. I wanted to go more natural and dye it a darker brown. I have a little bit of 6 light mocha brown and 5 medium warm brown. Can I mix those two? I only have a little bit of the light mocha brown and a lot of medium warm brown but I have really thick hair. Also what volume should I use?I need a professional hair dressers help please?
Use a 20 volume. One ounce of developer for each ounce of color. You can mix the two, but the problem is that when you want to touch up the roots, you may have difficulty mixing the right color. Make sure to write down your formula. Say you used an ounce of 6 and two ounces of 5. Use 3 ounces of developer for that.
But anyway, point is make sure you write it down. You may not get a color that you really like though.I need a professional hair dressers help please?
1.) Throw out unused portions of color.
2.) You must fill the bleached highlights.
3.) Stick to a semi-permanent color for too many reasons to list here.
4.) Head to salon. Just figuring out the filling part is difficult. The timing is tricky and if you have thick hair you need someone to help with application.
Once you have had it done properly at the salon you will be able to re-glaze at home monthly for maintenance. Best of luck.
