Any hair dressers on line? I need help!!!?

So... i've had my hair dyed for the first time, it's naturally ash blonde... i've had a purple/plum colour put in as 'flashes' but they've used too much, and I really can't stand it! It's permanent unfortunately, and I need to know if it's possible to get it removed! Are there any products I could use for doing it at home? Or would I have to go to a salon? Is it easy to do? Is it expensive? It's making me miserable :( I want my natural hair back!Any hair dressers on line? I need help!!!?
No.Any hair dressers on line? I need help!!!?
all you can do is just let it grow out. dye it back to almost the natural color and then just let it grow and cut off the color.
This may sound weird but I'm a hairdresser and it does work. Dandruff Shampoo is great for fading colored hair. And if you're up to dyeing it again it an a ash tone neutralizes a brown tone. It won't completely cover it, but it will tone it down. You might have to try to color your hair a darker brown then it was though, because you can never dye it lighter. ( unless you bleach, thats totally different ) If you want to you can go to a salon, but it will be quite expensive. Thats your best bet for getting it totally right thought, and they even sometimes can't do anything. I really hope I helped! thanks
Okay what you do is you go back to a salon.. probably a different one than the one that did it.. Do you have any strips of your natural color in? Ask them if you have a color that is like it or similar. It should cost around 40 bucks. Not too bad. Theres nothing that you can do at home.
color oops works in stripping the color off. They sell it at drug stores
There are not that many things you can do, here is what I'd suggest:

1) Buy highlight peroxide , find all the ';bad'; bits, bleach them blonde [will probably turn out a funny colour though and you would have to add another colour of your choice over them], this is best done in a salon due to the many steps involved.

2) Keep on washing, purple is one of those colours that ';falls'; out quite quickly, even if it is permanent, due to the small molecules. However it will look washed out and needs a little ';oomphing-up'; again with maybe a semi permanent colour.

3) Go mental and colour all of your hair a dark shade, such as burgundy, that is the easiest, you can do it at home and it will ';hide';n your purple streaks. However you can't wash it out and you'll have to live with it.

4) Use a non-permanent colour all over, something darker than the streaks, it will be soaked up by your streaks and change their colour over time but will wash out of your natural hair as it is less brittle than the streaks.

5) Live with it and wait until they are grown out, take it as a lesson or maybe you will start liking them after a while?

Whatever you do, good luck
Try a lotion and a shampoo called Ziravie, which combines tradition, science and nature to provide a mixture of natural nutrients, minerals and vitamins, which act on the scalp in depth, that in turn stimulates strong, healthy, robust hair growth, strengthening hair roots, gives volume and reduces thinning , hair loss and baldness and it also helps me to get rid of hair colour I use but mind you it is a gradual process. It will definitely help to bring back your black healthy hair

The website is www.ziravie.com but I bought it in Spain and now it is available on ebay.co.uk under the ID - hair-treatment
bad news is you cant remove hair dye yourself...

but yes you can get the dye stripped out of your hair.

its pretty common procedure and it can get a bit pricey, but if you want your hair back and you have the cash you can easily get it done!

i hope i help you (:

luck luck.
you will have to get the color stripped out, or your hair bleached and that wont even work the first time most likely andbleach is very hard on your hair... i had a bright pink put in my hair and that was almost one year ago and my hair is still very damaged from the bleach that was used to remove it because it had to be done a few different times
Ooh not a good colour to try and remove! Id go back to the salon and see what products they have to remove it or tone it down. I use Goldwell products and they have a colour remover, which is kinder than bleaching it. They might have to lift it with a bleaching product if not. I wouldnt use anything at home. The salon know exactly what they put on it. We personally prefer people to do that than do it at home.
Go to a salon and get then to strip your hair.

HELP!';!!!! Hair dressers out there i need ur help !!!!?

i got my hair dyed saturday brown with a t/bar with red!!! i just had a bath there now and the water is red!!! is that amount of hair dye suppose to wash out, and there is some red on my shirt now as well from drying my hair!!!!!red is still in the hair at the front but cant tell if its still in it in the back!!! any way is it normal!!!!1HELP!';!!!! Hair dressers out there i need ur help !!!!?
this happens and is normal. Buy a shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair it will preserve the colour longer. Elvive is good. Good luckHELP!';!!!! Hair dressers out there i need ur help !!!!?
Yes, the first wash will always be a bit red - I dye my hair copper, and the first wash will defintely show red. I always make sure that I leave it wrapped up in an older or coloured towel for a while, and not wear my nice shirt straightaway. After a couple of washes it'll settle down.
Yes it is normal for red hair dye to frequently run. It will lessen but it never stops washing out when shampooing your hair. That is the problem with red hair dyes, they run and fade a lot more quickly then other hair colours. My friend used to dye parts of her hair red, but gave up after a few months because she had to keep re-doing every 2-3 weeks or so because it would fade to the point that it became orange.
of course its normal at my sallon some people come and get there hair dyed and then funky stuff like that happens but there could be two problems ussually the cause for this is way to much hair dye or that you washed your hair too soon just a while and your hair will be fine and .I cant have my hair dyed because my hair gets very stiff and thats because my hair isnt used to the dye.

hope this helps!
Im no stylist but i can say is get sum color protector it a little tube u put in ur applicator bottle it will keep from fading
Believe me ...its always like that on your first WASH I DYE MY HAIR BLACK AND ITS LIKE OH NO ALL MY HAIR DYE IS GONE NO ITS NOT BUT JUST SO YOU KNOW IT WILL BLEED UNLESS YOU SCRUB YOUR ROOTS REALLY GOOD
Some color will wash out for a couple of shampoos, but it really should only be enough to tint the suds of the shampoo you use, not to stain your shirt. They should have shampooed it out of your hair MUCH better than they did!!! Reds do fade much more than other colors, but if I were you I would let them know about your shirt and see what they will do for you. I know I would want to know if I messed up like that or if one of my stylists did something like that. Also you should make sure you are using a good shampoo for color treated hair because some shampoos will strip the color from your hair much faster than others. I wish you luck!
i have no clu
Red hair color molecules are the smallest color molecules. It is normal for this color to fade. But, if you had a permanent color done there should be very little color coming out in the bath. If it was a semi-permanent color then a lot of color is not so unusual.
it is natural for the first few washes for it to run red i,m sure if you can see the red in the front of your hair it will still be in the back
red hair always run
completely normal especially for red dye. red fades, and sometimes turns brown. use a shampoo for color treated hair.
sorry, reds fade terribly they usually look kind of brownish after as little as 3 weeks depending on haircolor product and strength of developer used.

you say you had a bath. did you lie down in tub submersing head? the application of hot water will leech the color out like crazy, the heat opens cuticle . hot tubs and swimming pools too

in the future, to maintain red the best, shampoo/condition infrequently with cool water. color enhanced products can extend life of reds
this is normal!!!

colourist has most likely used too much dye! if she didnt explain this to you u could maybe speak to her and get your hairdo cheaper the next time!!!

PS next time try not to wash your hair for a good few days to let the colour settle(just the same as when you have a perm!!) and remember to use a shampo/cond. for colour treated hair, salon performance ones are best doll!! maybe worth investing in a good colour treatment too!!

ask your stylist about it!! x
go back to the place where you had the color done they should

be able to tell you best.also have them send your blouse to the cleaners.

I need a professional hair dressers help!?

my hair is down to the middle of my upper arm. my hairs is thick, frizzy and dry. if i cut my hair to about my collar bone area with angles would it feel thicker and poof out? or would it thin out and feel lighter? also my hair isnt as dry around that area.please help and please let me know what kind of hair cut would make my hair lighter and thinner.PLEASE!!I need a professional hair dressers help!?
I had the exact same problem due to overprocessing, the ends were frizzy, but halfway up to the roots were fine. I went in and got a medium length bob with the ends texturized with a razor to help thin it out and it is much lighter and no longer frizzy. If it is a straight cut all the way around, you'll get kind of a triangle look, where the ends stick out and your head looks like a triangle, but if you texurize or layer the ends using a razor or thinning shears, it will be sleeker and more like what you are looking for. To fix the dryness, use a deep conditioner once a week. If you hair is naturally frizzy, use a serum or some hair gel to smooth it down. I hope this helps.I need a professional hair dressers help!?

Need advice.. Any prof. hair dressers? Or just those that know?

I have dark brown hair that has been highlighted blonde. The highlights were not done with bleach, just reg. hair color. When they did the highlights they also added another color of brown into my hair. The highlights have grown out a bit and I am now ready to go dark brown again! Can I do this my self? Or should I go back to the prof? Basically, will adding another color on top of the highlights be bad news???

Thanks for the help!Need advice.. Any prof. hair dressers? Or just those that know?
YES you can do it - going darker is the easiest thing to do. Use Loreal products - available at your local phamacy (cvs walgreens) http://www.lorealparisusa.com/_us/_en/de

this is a GREAT site to look at (above)

Now, go with any tone that says ';WARM'; OR ';Natural'; - dont go with ';cool'; or ';Ash'; labeled colors - even if it looks like the color you want because anything cool can put pinkish or greenish tones on blondish or light brown (lightened) hair - it can look bad - buy two boxes if you have thick or longer hair because u have to make sure you cover everything - the worst would be coloring and not getting every spot on your head SATURATED. Get it all over every strand front and back and in between.... and wipe off near your hairline.... any stains will come out after washing a couple of times in the shower. You can also use baby oil to rub off stains. let color sit for about 40 minutes.

I would personally suggest : Preference Medium Brown -

http://www.drugstore.com/qxp77350_333181Need advice.. Any prof. hair dressers? Or just those that know?
Take it from somebody who knows go to a professional because depending on the strength of the blond in your hair putting a darker color over could damage it and stain it so you wont be able to fix it untill it grows out
As someone who did the same thing (had brown hair with blonde highlights and went back to dark brown) I think I can tell you what happens.

I did go back to a professional, but that was because I was thinking about getting streaks again (but didn't). Anyway, my hairdresser told me that she could put a filler on my hair so it all ended up one colour or if we just put colour over it how it was you would get some nice dimension to the colour she was putting in.

I ended up just colouring over the highlights without the filler and ended up loving it. It added a little extra dimension and vavoom to my hair. Had I known that it would have been no problem and that I would have liked it I would have dyed it myself.

    Hope this helps!
They probably used a form of bleach, because you can't lift color out of hair by using another color. If you were my client, and just wanted to cover the highlights ( which I have also done on myself, same situation ) I would just recommend a semi-permanant. The advantages are that it has no ammonia so you aren't causing further damage, they are glossy and make your hair look great, and if you decide in a couple months you want to change again, it is easier to remove than a permanant color. The disadvantage is that they fade, but a permanant color will also fade over pre-lightened hair. I would go in and see your stylist when you decide too, it's safer!! I hope that helps.

I need a hair dressers help.. Dyed it red! EEK!?

So i had blond hair (not naturally) and i had the bight idea of dying it red. I hate it soooo much and just want to go back to being blond. Im just wondering how much it will kill my hair to dye it back to blond again.

Also i was wondering if i could dye it brown over top of the red, and then get blond highlights..

What one would be better to do for my hair, or got any other solutions?

Thanks so muchI need a hair dressers help.. Dyed it red! EEK!?
Did you get it permanently dyed or just semi-permanent? It would certainly fry your hair though. I did that once, dyed my hair two colors in one weekend and it became very fried. :P Baddd idea!

PLUS since it's newly dyed when you go to dye it blonde again it may come out strawberry blonde or even a pinkish tone. Then again, it also depends on how red it is. Is it brown red, auburn, ginger red, or firetruck super red?

I would suggest sticking with it for at least two - three weeks before dying it. It's torture, I know. I accidentally dyed my hair black one time and I had to wait 7 months for it to fade and grow out to my natural hair color. Patience, we all make a big hair mistake once in our life.

    Help with my question?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;I need a hair dressers help.. Dyed it red! EEK!?
It is very hard to dye hair blonde when you have red pigments in your hair. When dying red hair blonde, there's a 99% chance of it turning orange. (not good) you'd have to first get a color correction and bleach it again which we all know damages hair, depending on how dark the shade of red you currently have, and how light of blonde you want to dye it, will dpeend of the length of damage.

    answer mine!

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?

Need a hair dressers help please??

ok so i have sort of medium to dark brown hair naturally, and i had sort of light brown hair with lots of blonde highlights in it done professionally, then about a month and a half ago i bleached my hair blonde, i absuloutly loved the sort of white/blonde colour i had but then ofcorse i had to do the roots. so on sunday i dyed then but they turned out a gingery colour. so last night i dyed the hole of my hair again and now its all turned a sort of silvery/white/purple/grey colour and im 15 so its not a good look lol.

i just went and bought a light brown colour its 7.1 and i have 2 boxes...

can anyone give me any advice on how long to leave it on for?

or any thing else i could try to get a sort of mousey brown/blonde colour?

thanks in advanceNeed a hair dressers help please??
Everyone's hair is different. Test a small section for a half hour and see what happens.

Best to go get it done professionally though.Need a hair dressers help please??
First of all stop applying color to your hair. Go to a salon to have your color corrected. Bleached hair has no pigment in it, so no matter what color you put in it will only grab the base color of what you are using. (ash blonde=green, golden blonde= yellow etc) At the salon they will apply a filler so that your hair will grab the pigment of the color you are trying to achieve. Good Luck.

  • Question 4 all hair dressers!!!! How much do we need to tip you people???

umm it depends on what you get done but like when i get a dye and cut i usually tip about $5 because your already paying like what $60 and they get a fair share of thatQuestion 4 all hair dressers!!!! How much do we need to tip you people???
double what the cut costQuestion 4 all hair dressers!!!! How much do we need to tip you people???
i tip mine 20% and he seems happy with that. i think thats a good standard for most tipping.
Give me all your wallet and we`ll be fine!
I never understood why they must be given a tip @ all..It takes 20-30 min to give a haircut and @ $20.00 a haircut that comes to $40.00-$60.00 an hour..I am a nurse in the business of saving lives and have never made that amount in an hour..I do tip because it is expected of me.
none especially if we fcuk it up!
First of all, do not EVER assume we are getting the money you pay for your service. Some hairstylists are paid hourly, and are paid the same no matter what services they do, and some are paid on commission, in which case they get a certain percentage of each service they provide.

No matter what your stylist is actually paid by the salon, your tip should be at LEAST 15% of the total services, 20% if you are happy with the outcome, and by all means, more if you feel so inclined!

I for one live off my tips and try to scrimp and save the little that comes in my paycheck into savings. To think that if I do four $20.00 services in an hour, that I am making $80.00 dollars an hour is just ignorant and untrue.

A good tip is always appreciated and can be beneficial to you as well. If a hairstylist is not being tipped well enough at a salon, he/she may move on to another salon where the tips are better. Tipping can help prevent a good stylist that you like from leaving the salon you go to!

Bottom line: If you're not tipping as much as you would tip a waiter, you're not tipping enough.
I am not a hair dresser, but a tip shouls be at least 25% on hair
Some client is generous, some don't, but it should be 15% of the total services.
A tip for anything is 10- 12% for decent service... 15-20% for a job well done. I suggest, if your going back to give generously since next time the scissors may slip.

I'm sorry to tell you but yes. Your hair will look and feel poof out. But you have to cut them a little at least so you can get rid of the dry part of your hair. Either you cut your hair up to the point you feel them healthier or you cut them little by little every month. Both ways you have to use a lot of conditioning so you can make them easy to comp and healthy.

My suggestion is that you can thin them out they will look better but this means you have to do this at least every other month.

I told my mom i want to get a single purple streak in the back of my hair. Im not emo or anything im preppy and shes like, '' you'll have to bleack your hair, and then you'll have to keep dying it!'' IS THAT TRUE? will i have to bleach my hair? IS THERE TEMPORARY COLOR??I need hair help. Hair dressers, and other.. help.?
pretty sure ma frnd is getting blue streeks nd shes is gonna have to get to white before she can dye it blue ( her hair is originally a brown colour ) nd she is not emoI need hair help. Hair dressers, and other.. help.?
You have to bleach your hair where you are going to have the streak so it is a solid color. If you don't,the dye may come out uneven and it wouldn't be a solid purple
There is temporary color. If you put it over your natural color it might just look like a purple tint or a little uneven. If you have blond/light hair it will probably look a lot better, if you have dark hair it will be much less noticeable, sort of like purple but only really visible in the sun.

You might as well try it with your natural color first. It might look a little weird or dullish but probably not too bad.

Any hair dressers or hair colorist? I need your smartness?

I died my hair about two or three weeks ago reddish brown with a little blonde and now i want to go back to my original light brown and blonde hair (dirty blonde) Any ideas how to do this safely? Have you had this case? How long should I wait?

I can't go to a salon right now I have to long of hair to get that many foils currently with my saving money for a trip

PLEASE HELPAny hair dressers or hair colorist? I need your smartness?
ya, get something like a colour 7.1 that has a ash in it, to cover the red, cause just a normal brown will not cover it, red needs ash to cover it. and then after that, on dry hair, u could use a cap and do some highlights, only leave bleach (6%) on for 10-15mins ALWAYS keep a eye on the bleach, and rinse off before it goes too blonde, run your nails down the hair to check its not braking.Any hair dressers or hair colorist? I need your smartness?
hair color has 3 types of base color. red, gold and ash. get a light brown ash color, and it will neutralize the red. it will also darken the blonde, but not as dark as the red so you will still have some highlights..

you can do it at any time, you don't have to wait. just use a good conditioner after.
You have red in your hair now so that will be hard to lift. The best advice I can give you is to wait and see a pro or try going to a beauty school.

If you have to do it yourself just dye it one solid dark color until you can afford to get it fixed.

Don't ever mess with red tones or black on your own!

Help from someone who has had experience with highlights on bleach blonde hair, or a hair dresser? need?

my hair has soo many highlights that you only see my natural hair alittle but it still shows ( which i like because i want a little contrast) but my natural color hair is dirty blonde, and i want like a bright strawberry/coppery color under my high lights instead.. how can i get my ';low lights'; or whatever you would call it to be strawberry/copper color without ruining my already highlighted hair?Help from someone who has had experience with highlights on bleach blonde hair, or a hair dresser? need?
The only way is to have a copper red color put into your hair in highlights. The color will be deposited instead of lifted so not quite as damaging to your hair. If your hair is damaged then you might want to wait awhile before doing something else to it. If you are not using a good shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair go to

    http://www.redkensalon.com/products/hair

and read about these products that are formulated for damaged hair.

Question for hair dressers? really need some advice!!?

I went to a salon to get my hair highlighted yesterday, i asked and paid for a PARTIAL highlight, I told the stylist i wanted it DARK blond, and I also gave her a picture. I had about 3 inches of my roots growing in from when I last dyed it red, by a different stylist.. well, the highlights came out TWO different colors,, as she was cutting my hair i started to notice that it was lighter than i wanted it, and I specifically told her i was getting nervous about the color and that I might call her soon to tone it down, and she said that would be fine. when i got home, i saw that the part that was on my roots was almost PLATINUM blonde, and the part that was on the rest of my hair was a golden blonde! it was hideous,,,i didnt notice it till i got home, After she cut my hair she basically moved on to her next client, and sent me to a different stylist to blow dry and style, she never even asked what I thought of it! so as soon as i get home, i call back to schedule appointment to have her fix her obvious mistake. I went in today and asked her to just dye it light brown all over b/c i really didn't like it at all, so she does, and it turns out great, and so i left, I was under the impression that if a stylist screws up your hair, it is their job to fix it at no cost...about 2 hours later i get a call from them saying I left without paying..not only that,, but that they made a mistake and only charged me for a partial highlight , and that she actually did a 3/4 highlight!! which i did NOT ask for. wow i have never gotten such horrible service,,,are they in the wrong here?Question for hair dressers? really need some advice!!?
Well...first of all, if a stylist messes up your hair, it is their job to fix it, usually free of charge. Any places that I have worked for does just that. If someone isn't happy with what they asked for, then it is fixed...no questions asked. I also feel that it was their mistake for not charging you for the right service. It isn't your fault that they screwed up when charging you for what they did, especially if you wanted a partial and they did more.

    Hope you get something resolved.

okay so i have shoulder length thick hair with side bangs.

i blow dry and straighten my hair everyday.

awhile ago i cut my hair and now i have short layers that make my hair look thicker and kinda boxie looking if you now what i mean.

i want to get it cut again but all i want them to do is trim it, thin it out and some how make my layer disappear

BUT im scared that when the they thin it out, it will create more layers and make the other short layers shorter.

i want my cut to look like this

i know i just asked this, but i need more answers.

Okay heres the deal. My natural hair color is dark brown. I dyed it three times with a blonde hair dye to make my hair color lighter. My hair is now currently orangey-brownish, and my dark hair roots are showing. I look weird.

I want to dye it all dark brown to get my natural hair back. Should i dye my whole head INCLUDING MY ROOTS? or dye all my hair and NOT my roots?

Don't tell me to see a salon, i can't afford it and i have always dyed my own hair.

Oh and the last time i dyed my hair was July 5th. so it's been 4 weeks, and im sure itss safe enough to dye it again.

Here is a picture of my hair right now, you can see my roots showing.

I honestly, truely think that a pixie cut will look great on you! It would suit your facial features and your square face.

I am loving the second pixie cut hair style that you posted. I think this will look amazing on you.

Here are some other ones that I have found. Who knows, you might like one of these! (:

A short cut will look great with your face shape! Focus on your cheekbones will make you jaw look thinner, if you think your face is *too* square (which it's not, but I know how we ladies get!). Also, the less hair you have actually covering your face, the longer your face will look.

The thing with thick hair is the shorter you go, the poofier it'll get, as it won't be weighed down. I don't mean to suggest you can't go short without going poofy, but you do need to think about what kind of layering you want. Lots of layers can thin out your hair, and work great with a short cut.

Minimal layering, though, can leave your hair a bit heavier, thus less poofy. But go somewhere in between, with just a few layers, and you might regret it.

Do i need to go to the hair dressers first?

Last year i started dying my hair with a dye called deep burgandy brown. its redish, but to me it looks brown. i found a new dye that i think i'll like, but my mom is telling me to go to the hair dressers so they can strip this dye out first, because i don't want to wait for it to grow out. I hate going to the hair dressers, so do i actually need to go, or can i just due over this color with ti still looking red?Do i need to go to the hair dressers first?
It depends on the hair dye and color. If you are going darker you probably will be fine, however you cant go lighter without stripping the other color out. Also, stripping is a nasty prosess and does a lot of damage to the hair. My sister had hers stripped about a year ago, and has only now just grown out to looking heathy with a new short hair cut. Was very obviously damaged. (then again i think hers took like 3 times stripping it before all the color was out.) If you can color it with out stripping, it would be healthier for your hair, less prossessing. But the color that turns out depends part on the dye, and part on what it is going on top of. Look at the side/back of the box....they usually have a range of what your results could be based on what your hair is.

Though probably the best thing you could do is go to a hair dressers to get it colored. You will get better results there, and they would know if it needs to be stripped for the color you want.Do i need to go to the hair dressers first?
    Hello!

I personally think you should go to the hairdresser to get that dye removed because if you do this new color on top of it, it could mix with the old color and make your hair a mess! And trust me, you'll regret it.

So take about 1.5 hours out of ur day to see the hairdresser. It wont be bad. The result will be glam. honey!

    LOL

    Inside joke.

    Gewd luck with ur hair!

    ~blooper z
You should probably get it stripped first

but stripping does damage but if you keep it trimmed

and use the right hair products it will look fine
if your new color has red in it you're fine. but if your trying to get rid of red then go to a salon.
I think you should listen to your momma lmao.

Any hair dressers or barbers out there? I need to ask you some questions on what I should do to my hair?

Please give me your email address and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Jon just go to your local hair salon and ask them your questions. They will gladly answer any you have and be able to explain how to get what you want. It won't cost you anything. If they don't want to help you go to a different salon. I answer questions on hair everyday and only about half get anything done.

Help! Hair dresser needed for this Q! I need to know which hair dyes are non- permanent.?

I just bought L'oreal Natural Match and I dont know if I am going to completely like the color. It says no- ammonia but what the heck does that mean! Please help. Even if I like the color I dont want to grow it out and have half of my hair light brown and half dark brown. Please help!

*FIRST PERSON TO GET A REAL GOOD ANSWER, WITH PROOF, OR SOMETHING I CAN READ BY GETS 10 POINTS. THANKS YOU.Help! Hair dresser needed for this Q! I need to know which hair dyes are non- permanent.?
This is a permanent hair color (if you look at drugstore.com it even says ';permanent'; on there) - meaning it won't just wash out over the next couple of weeks. While it doesn't contain ammonia, it still has enough other ingredients (for example peroxide) that will change your hair structure.

However, the good news is that it is only meant to accentuate your natural color, so the effect won't be that dramatic. It will add some reflections and shine, but you won't be able to go from light brown to completely dark with this.

So you'll either have to stick with a ';real'; permanent dye (preferably done at a salon) to go from light to dark brown, or simply go for a less dramatic change. In the latter case I'd recommend using a semi-permanent hair color. These do not contain ammonia nor peroxide, and will wash out after 6-12 shampoos.

Also read the link I'm adding, it'll really explain this well, probably better than I just did :)

I need a professional hair dressers help please?

My hair is died a light brown with bleach highlights it's naturally dark brown. I wanted to go more natural and dye it a darker brown. I have a little bit of 6 light mocha brown and 5 medium warm brown. Can I mix those two? I only have a little bit of the light mocha brown and a lot of medium warm brown but I have really thick hair. Also what volume should I use?I need a professional hair dressers help please?
Use a 20 volume. One ounce of developer for each ounce of color. You can mix the two, but the problem is that when you want to touch up the roots, you may have difficulty mixing the right color. Make sure to write down your formula. Say you used an ounce of 6 and two ounces of 5. Use 3 ounces of developer for that.

But anyway, point is make sure you write it down. You may not get a color that you really like though.I need a professional hair dressers help please?
1.) Throw out unused portions of color.

2.) You must fill the bleached highlights.

3.) Stick to a semi-permanent color for too many reasons to list here.

4.) Head to salon. Just figuring out the filling part is difficult. The timing is tricky and if you have thick hair you need someone to help with application.

Once you have had it done properly at the salon you will be able to re-glaze at home monthly for maintenance. Best of luck.

conditioners. That happened to me a few years ago, and i had to wash it 7 times to get it out.(plus i got the brush stuck too.) Good Luck%26lt;3HELP please ITS an EMERGENCY! professional hair dressers advice needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
you need to apply a really good conditioner leave on for how ever longit takes use a wide tooth comb and gradually work it through it, I did this for a client the other week and her hair was like a birds next, however after about 20 mins her hair was deep conditioned and back to normal it no panic

just take your time and work the conditioner well into your hair right to the roots and a wide tooth comb

    no problems
ok what u do is when ur taking a shower and put conditonair on brush ur hair and ur knots would get out. it gets rid of the knots really fast.
wash it and get a really good detangling conditioner or any conditioner if u cant get a detangling one and while the conditioner is still in your hair get a widetooth comb and starting at the bottom gently comb it working your way up (not combing upwards) i mean at the bottom of your hair comb it until the bottom of the knot comes a little loose then go slightly higher and comb through again a little more of the knot will come loose and so on. It will take some time and you might be better getting a friend to help but whatever you do DO NOT PUT A COMB IN THE TOP OF YOUR HAIR AND TRY PULING IT DOWN this will only knot it more. Heres hoping ur hair gets unknotted Good Luck.
detangling spray to loosen it up or wet it + conditioner, conditioner, conditioner
How did you do that in the first place?!

Put as much leave in conditioner on your hair as you can and slowly, very slowly start combing from the bottom up. Use a wide toothed comb and take small 2'; sections at a time. Some will come out. Some will pull, but if you work slowly and carefully, ALWAYS from the bottom of the hair to the scalp you should make progress. Then do an intensive reconstructor (ie: K-Pak by Joico) and don't do whatever it was you did to make the knot again. Ever!
Put TONS of conditioner in it !
well, if its in that one big of a knot.. then go into the shower, and take a brush with you. gently brush it while water is damping your hair and use a bunch of conditioner. when you get out of the shower then try to brush it a bit more, and if that doesnt work, take detangling spray and apply it to where the knot is. try to brush it out bit by bit and when you have the knot out blowdry your hair. most of the time, when you have long enough hair, try to braid it before you go to bed or something, because if you dont, it will be in a super huge knot. again.

How much do hair dressers need to take off when removing split ends?

please help. How much do hair dressers need to take off when removing split ends?
it depends on how damaged your hair is but usually no more than an inch or two, don't worry too much about it because it will only make your hair look healthierHow much do hair dressers need to take off when removing split ends?
I am a Hairstylist and a trim for split ends could be anywhere between 1/4 - 2 inches off..also trimming up your layers also helps with the split ends in the middle of your hair.Always remember to visit your stylist every 4-6 weeks to help maintain healthy hair..
Split ends are when your hair splits and then the break runs up the hair strand.. so it depends on how bad the split is. If your hair is healthy and you have just a few then I'd say about 1/4 an inch.
well it really depends on how much of the ends of your hair are split ends, but its usually no more than an inch or two.

dont worry, it will make your hair looks healthier and help it grow even faster :)
Depends on your hair and how long its been since last trimmed how bad split ends are most common is an in or two
As far as your hair is split.

    Hair dressers needed.........(10 points)???????????

what are some salon quality products that you would reccomend to your customers for soft, healthy hair. i have heard that shampoos like pantene and head and shoulders only damage your hair.Hair dressers needed.........(10 points)???????????
I would recommend All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner by Redken, also by Redken try Real Control.

That's what i normally use on my clients, recently I started using Aquage and i really like their vitalizing shampoo and de-tangling conditioner.

They are both more expensive than store bought shampoos because they are salon quality. They are both natural and safe for color treated hair, both lines have sublines that will have a category best for your type of hair. The thing i like about the aquage is it's make with seaextend.Hair dressers needed.........(10 points)???????????
Yeah, using bad quality shampoo will completly strip your hair of it's natural oils and dry it out. And to make things worse you hair, upon realising it's drier than usual will produce more oil to compensate. In the end this will cause greasy roots and dry, brittle ends. Not good :[

Salon shampoos are generally milder and much more gentle on the hair, but I'm sorry I couldn't recommend any because I've stopped using chemicals on my hair, I wash mine with honey and vinegar. (don't knock it till you try it, its better than any shampoo I've ever used)

    Take care :]
I'm not a hair dresser but my best friend is. She recommends for me Tresemme, Mark Hill and Tony %26amp; Guy products. I dye my hair every 4-6 weeks and have done since 2005. I straighten it 2-3 times a day and my hair is in perfect condition.

So, i cut my bangs too short. i have very curly hair and i normonly stragiten my bangs. now i have them to short that every time i stragten them, they stick up. my mom is taking me to the hairdressers in a coulpe of weeks ans she doesnt know about my bangs, no when my hairdresser sees them she'll ask is i cut them. and if i say yes my mom will kill me

Do any of u have advice on how to make them grow QUICK!

Thanks.I Cut my bangs too short and they stick up now! i have a hair dresser appointment in a couple of weeks.?
Well, you can't grow them quick, but if you curl them with standard curlers, they look longer and frankly they look better too.I Cut my bangs too short and they stick up now! i have a hair dresser appointment in a couple of weeks.?
You can't make them grow any faster but they're YOUR bangs, not your mom's. So you made a mistake- it's HAIR, it's not a big deal and bangs grow back so quickly anyway. You learned your own lesson from this and that should be enough punishment. If that's the worst of the problems your mom gets from you, she's lucky. You have every right to do whatever you want with your own hair. Everyone makes mistakes. Sorry if it seems like I'm angry but it reminds me so much of when I was a kid %26amp; my mom treated me like I was her own personal Barbie doll which is wrong. Hair is so inconsequential in the grand scheme of life that I just wish you not to worry too much about it. If your mom gets angry, that's HER problem and she needs to get some perspective.

You just need to let them grow out. Rachel's are long (past her eyes) when straight and then she curled them inward (probably using a large round brush and a blow dryer).

ETA: You should try cutting upwards into them. It will create a line like Rachel has.

UGHH Im in grade 10 (15 years) and i tell everyone that i dont know what to be when i grow up. I want to do something with hair and makeup not clothes though. All my friends have their futures planned out already. They are all going to be lawyers and doctors and stuff. The only time i feel passionate is when im doing hair or makeup. My mom hates the idea because it doesnt pay well and she says i am too smart for a stupid job. I dont know what to do?! Like there are NOO jobs i am interested in except for something with hair or makeup!! What should i do? Please help im panicing!!My mom hates that i want to be a hair dresser!?
Follow your heart... I know that sounds really corny but if you want it, go for it!

My best friend's mom is a hair dresser and owns her own salon, it's not big or anything, just her own shop by the mall. Your mom is right in the sense that you are not going to be getting rich but you'll earn enough to make a living and if you like doing it, well, more power to ya.

Even if you're not getting rich my friend's mom is a single mother with two kids and she is doing just fine supporting both of them.

Don't let anyone, not even your parents get in the way of pursuing what you want. No matter what you end up doing, as long as you are happy andsuccessfull I'm sure your mom will be happy too.My mom hates that i want to be a hair dresser!?
If you are passionate and talented enough you can do very well with that career choice. Your Mom isnt gonna be able to tell you what do with yourself all of your life.

And all of your friends aren't actually gonna be doctors and lawyers. But even if they are, someone has to cut the hair of the doctors and lawyers of the world.
Go with your passion. I wanted to be either a flight attendant or hairdresser and makeup artist and my mother felt a flight attendant is just a waitress in the sky. My mom felt too, that a hairdresser and makeup artist were menial jobs. You could work for celebrities, models, etc. Your mom's looking out for your best interests, but be what YOU want to be, not what your mother wants you to be. Good Luck!
Well I had that same issue! Look, you can make money in anything you set your mind to. If you love what you do then your clients will love coming to you...so then you'll get a lot of business...which equals to more money. Yeah it might be slow at first but you can always work your way up. Like owning your own salon!
i have my heart set on being a hairdresser too.

Sometimes i feel a bit sheepish when people ask me what am i going to do. When i say hairdresser, i get the feeling they were excpecting somrhting eolse, you know?

I just keep thinking that i am goibng togo the furthest there is in the buisness.

THAT CAN EARN ALOT OF MONEY.

    doing celebrity hair etc.

    :)
Well my hair dresser charges me 20.00 for a cut (only) it takes about 15 min. and someone is always waiting to get in the chair when I leave. Say she cuts 3 heads an hour that is 60.00 an hour. Pretty good money if you ask me. Follow your dream.
well you still have time, if you still want to be a hair dresser then be it, because if your good enough you can do it possibly for famous ppl and you will get ALOT of money!

so still keep your idea :)
haha, i changed what i wanted to be like 15 times from ages 14-now (19), and i'm sure your friends will too. don't worry about it. keep what you would love doing in your mind and don't let anyone get you to lose sight of that.
There is really good money in hair styling, if your a great stylist or colorist, I pony up $97 dollars every 5 wks. and that doesn`t include tip. Not everyone wants or needs to go to college.
I SAY GO FOR IT.. try it out first in school with r.o.p. its free wont cost ur mom anymoney..and itll give u and idea of what u want and what u can expect.

I want to get my haircut like ';scene'; but, im not sure what to ask the hair dresser to do.?

I think that you should bring in some pictures that show what you want. And tell her that you want a lot of short layers and tell her where you want the layers to start ( like the shortest). Tell her that it should be a razored cut and then go from there. I want to get my haircut like ';scene'; but, im not sure what to ask the hair dresser to do.?
go to photobucket.com and type in scene hair..

they should have a lot of pikks..

take it to the hair dresser then they will kut it for you..

=]]]I want to get my haircut like ';scene'; but, im not sure what to ask the hair dresser to do.?
Find a photo of what you like to take in, it is much easier to describe what you want if you have a photo to go along with it.

My girlfriend always cuts on my hair, weight, clothes, breath... anything at all. im a pretty decent dresser?

and a fairly good looking guy, but she's constantly on me. ive asked her why many times and she can't get an answer out why she does this. it's non-stop and unprovoked. any guesses why? we may have broken up as a result, but id like some opinions. My girlfriend always cuts on my hair, weight, clothes, breath... anything at all. im a pretty decent dresser?
maybe she has no control in her life and wants to have control elsewhere. you may want to talk to her and help her to stop being so controllingMy girlfriend always cuts on my hair, weight, clothes, breath... anything at all. im a pretty decent dresser?
    what a meanie-poo-poo head

    /mature

    lol.
you're girlfriend was probably way self-conscious. sometimes even the most confident girls feel like they're not good enough for their man. she was probably just trying to lower your own self esteem so that she would look better.
she sounds like a HUGGEE *****, ide get over her if i wer u, shes not worth it

girls lk tht are lame, and i dont know why ther do it, u need someone who will bring u up not down, forget her

    best wishes

    miaa
she might be a little insecure about herself so she talks about you

    OR

she might be shallow to the point that she picks on you so much that she doesent realize it

    OR

you might need to straighten yourself out if you look a mess all the time

    OR

she might be a total ***** lol

good luck and remember theres always someone else out there that will love you 6 times more and appreciate you better
She sounds like she is a bit obsessed with appearance.

Ask your friends whether or not they think you have been neglecting your appearance, and if they don't think so, then it's likely that she's overly concerned with appearances.

Need some advise...includes me , my boyfriends step mom and a hair dresser...ugh...please help?

ok...well back at the beginning of this year..i went to go get my nails done and i saw my boyfriends brother there..so i started talking to him...well anyways the lady that was cutting his hair is named dina... and my boyfriends brother(dustin) said something bad about his step mom ...well dina went and told stacy (my boyfriends step mom) i was talking **** about her...and she confronted me about it and i told her i didnt say anything that dustin had said it...so i thought it was all behind us..till today when my boyfriend told me that dina had once again told his stepmom and his dad that i had talked **** about her...yes 6 months later she is still telling stacy i was talking **** about her...ugh...what would you do in this situation? this is pathetic in my opinion....want to give me some advise ppl?Need some advise...includes me , my boyfriends step mom and a hair dresser...ugh...please help?
Talk to your boyfriend to set the facts straight. Get him to explain the situation to his step-mom. Don't return to the salon again as Dina sounds like a gossip and home-wrecker. If you need any more advice talk to your mom.Need some advise...includes me , my boyfriends step mom and a hair dresser...ugh...please help?
hair dressers are mostly like that...they like to talk to entice conversation--no matter if it's a slander! Go and tell stacy that it wasn't you, it was Dustin said it to you, and dina cant differentiate between a male voice and a female voice. Also tell dina to stop talking bad about you, or it's time for you to find a new hairdresser.
Yep, this is a hairdresser who has nothing better to do than mess w/ ppl's lives. This is none of her business in the first place. What does it do for her to blab about information that isn't even correct? OK, back to earth now....talk to the hairdresser. Let her know that the facts of her info and storytelling are incorrect and by her gossiping, it has hurt quite a few ppl. She may not see anything wrong w/ what she did, but usually when ppl are just in every1's business, they don't care who gets hurt. So be prepared to take on the role of asking her for advice - she's prolly more than eager to give you her opinion. Let her know how hurt you are and that you don't like to see others hurt. By her story, Dustin, the b/f and you have been set up (don't use that term - it sounds too blaming) maybe the three of you have had your reputations and integrity challenged. The Step Mom's also been hurt -- no one likes to hear bad things about themselves. So give Miss Clairol some grace and let her know how damaging this has been. Assure her that you know it wasn't intentional on her part (even tho that might not be true) but however the wires got crossed, the StepMom and others are owed an apology. It would be great if all of you showed up at her salon and had this convo to get the truth out. OK, the color looks to be done - time to come out from under the dryer!

  • I went to dye my hair blonde today and the hair dresser messed up? help?

Ok in July I went got blonde high lights in my brunette hair......looked good..but now I want to go ALL blonde..so I went to hair salon today told the hair dresser I wanna be all blonde..and she was like ';ohhh well u dont wanna bleach your hair its no good'; and Im like ohhh really? well what can I do then? cuz a lot of girls are blonde and they dont seem to be using bleach....she says '; well I can high light blonde all the brown in ur hair from ur high lighting in July then it will blend..thats what most ppl do';...I was like ummm I guess so....well its still brown my hair now....and it doesnt LOOK ANY DIFFERENT then before....I want my money back or hair re-done ...is she wrong.? Please help!I went to dye my hair blonde today and the hair dresser messed up? help?
She's right that you shouldn't dye all your hair blonde because it would be damaging to the highlighted areas but if it still looks the same then I would complain, for sure. If she lightened the brown correctly your hair would look different.I went to dye my hair blonde today and the hair dresser messed up? help?
She is wrong Go back and demand to talk to her manager and make sure you get a refund and your money back.
GET YOUR MONEY BACK AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHASUCKS TO BE U MOTHER FUCKERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Go back and say you were not satisfied. FYI- You will have to bleach it to get it blonde.
2 things you should know: ruins your hair making it thin, stiff, and frizzy, and from a guys perspective i would like to say that most guys dislike hair lighter then mid-brown.

I am a hair dresser how safe it is for me to do my color work during pregnancy?

you should know this...same as a person wanting to get their hair done. i believe color is ok but bleaching isn't. i would do as less as possible. it's just a precaution there's no known evidence that it hurts the baby.I am a hair dresser how safe it is for me to do my color work during pregnancy?
It should be ok as long as you wear heavy duty gloves. A mask might be helpful as well considering the fumes.I am a hair dresser how safe it is for me to do my color work during pregnancy?
as long as you arent in a tight closed up area.

i dyed my hair while pregnant and my OB/GYN said as long as the area was ventilated, it was fine.

    :]
I used to dye my own hair before my first pregnancy, at the time the Dr said that there wouldn't be a problem with doing so, but that the fumes may make me fell queasy and nauseated. Other than that, the dye wouldn't cause any harm
I have two friend that were both hair dressers and did hair coloring while they were pregnant. Both had perfectly healthy babies but both were told NOT to do hair coloring by their doctor. I wouldn't risk it!

Is it ok to ask the hair dresser to choose a hair style that is suitable for me and my hairline? ?

than cut it for me,than asking him to style my hair..is it ok? or is it too much? pls help..thanksIs it ok to ask the hair dresser to choose a hair style that is suitable for me and my hairline? ?
Probably many hairdressers would be hesitant if you ask for them to choose for you. They want you to come in with an idea of what you want. But they always make sure that they cut the style to fit your head shape. Because your head shape matters when you style it. Not all cuts look good on everyone.

Ever noticed how your hairdresser never gives you the exact cut that is in the picture you brought. (But close enough.) It's because they made sure the style fit you.

But I do not think you should ask your hairdresser to give you whatever she thinks would be nice on you. Because everyone likes different things. And your hairdresser might be hesitant. But you can go in with an idea of what you want and give them permission to change it up a bit to fit your head shape better. But have them tell you what they are doing as they cut.Is it ok to ask the hair dresser to choose a hair style that is suitable for me and my hairline? ?
you could ask their advice but i would be wary of giving them a free hand. If i were you i would try one of the programs where you can download a photo of yourself and try different styles etc. www.ivillage.co.uk do one.

I dont trust hairdressers as it is and i think you could be very disapppointed if you go in with no ideas at all. At least get her to look through book with you to get an idea of what YOU like!.

    goodluck
of course! the hairdresser's job is to give you a style that looks best on you!
they know more than you do for what is going to look best!

If I want my hair cut like this, what do I tell the dresser?

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/36241831@N07/3345957331/

The picture is above. I just don't know what to tell the hair dresser. :/If I want my hair cut like this, what do I tell the dresser?
Long layers, kinda edgy. She might know what scene hair looks like.If I want my hair cut like this, what do I tell the dresser?
First off, most of them are wrong.

You DO however need to bring the picture.

    FACT: She has extensions in.

Make sure you tell your hairdresser you want a lot of short layers around the top of your head. You also need to get the ends of the layers razored. Oh and if you want it long just tell her you want it to stay the same length and get short layers on top and still do the ends being razored.

For the bangs: Tell your hairdresser you want front fringed bangs. That way you can part them how you like.

That's what I told my hair dresser and my hair came out perfect. :) I'm changing up my style a bit though, so I'm getting it cut and dyed this weekend. :)
tell her that you want black hair that's up to your waist with lots of layers. but the back is short. the top needs layers too. if this doesn't help print out the pic. but that would be such a waste of ink.
omg i do that all the time i print out the pic then i tell them to plz cut it like this. im getting my hair cut this thursday it looks kinda like that but its shorter.
tell her that you want the layers on the top reall short so you can tease it.

    print the picture too
i think you should just take the picture in.

Once she(or he) sees she(or he) should know what to do :)
print the picture out and take it to your stylist.
Print out the pic and show it too her.
print of the picture and tell them u want ur hair like it

How much money can I expect to make my first year as a hair dresser?

I am starting a job at smart styles that pays an hourly base of 7.25 an hour or if you meet 2000 dollars by cut off in middle of the month then you make 45 to 55% commission depending on how much you bring in. I also get to keep all of my tips. I am just scared of the financial situation because I make 13.50 an hour now doing something totally different but I feel it is time to move on. I just need to know I can make it financially because I have a family to support. So if anyone can answer this question I would greatly appreciate the help. Thank you!How much money can I expect to make my first year as a hair dresser?
If you manage to bring in lots of customers for yourself, you'll make good money. If you don't, you won't.How much money can I expect to make my first year as a hair dresser?
Remember until you have proved yourself to the market you will not be receiving that many customers, those with the experience and repeat clients will make the most. It could take you at least a few months to start earning the kind of income you require or expect unless you are offering your clients a better service than the other individuals you work with. So to start out, expect the 6.25 cut in pay, and within six months or a year, you should be up to or above where you were. You might want to see if you can keep your current job and work part time at the new place until you have built up clientele to work with.

Shud i thinn my hair or get it strightened by a dresser, i dont want to use a striaghtner everyday..?

my mom said cuz my hair is thick it wont be any differnet if i get it striaghted at a place,i have striaght hair but thick hair so it doesn't look stright...ppl say i shud get my hair thinnned, then ppl say get it striaghtened. if i get it strightned i think im gona do it in china cuz its only 10 bucks to get a straight perm lasteing for a whole yr.will a stright perm in china work?cuz ppl said u shud go to a japanese place to get it strightned..wudnt china be the same thing? what should i do???Shud i thinn my hair or get it strightened by a dresser, i dont want to use a striaghtner everyday..?
If you want your hair straightened but don't want to fight with everyday, then there is a Japanese straightening system. Depending on the length and thickness of your hair, it can be a two day process. It's is about $600.00 to have it done depends on where you go. It usually last for about 9 months.Shud i thinn my hair or get it strightened by a dresser, i dont want to use a striaghtner everyday..?
buy some ghd straighteners they have long lasting style so you wont have to straighten every day but if you dont want tp buy new straighteners then yeh get your hair thinned
I know loads of women who'd love to have your problem. Just style your hair according to YOUR hair not the present fad. You'll be happier and your hair will look nicer.
well i'm korean and i started getting the Thermal Straightening done about 4 years ago and it's amazing.

you go about every 6-10 months and get it straightened.

the first session is the worst, i was there for 9 hours but i had really long hair then, not i have shoulder length hair.

some really ritzy ';american'; salons do offer it, but it's far more expensive.

my hair was really thick, bushy, and just blegh! ugly before i got it straightened.

it saves a lot of time in the morning.

all i do it blow dry it or air dry it and it's still nice and silky smooth!!

    but the whole chinese/japanese deal doesnt really matter, it's all the same technique pretty much and asians call it ';magic straight';

    why? i dont know, i think it's lame but Americans call it ';thermal straightening.';

i highly recommend it if you're willing to pay the price (about $150-$400)

we paid i think $350 for my first session.

my mom was really willing to though because i had struggle with my gross hair for a long time.

    good luck!
i had my hair thinned a couple of times, and it feels really great but its a pain in the butt when you want to grow it out... when they thin it, they basically razor off a bunch of hair that is underneath your first layer, and its really hard to reverse.
i straighten ma hair almost everyday but i make sure that i use a heat protection cream for the hair. ma hairs sooo thick...lol but i wouldnt get it stragithened permanently cos it wont even last for long. ma frend had hers done... it looked gd for a while den it went bak to normal
Let me see if I have this straight: You're going to China to have your hair thinned?

May I suggest that if your writing style was more precise, and your spelling had been checked, this question would make a whole lot more sense.
Shave ur head like Britney Spears....it's sexy, whenever someone rubs on it, it'll feel like a smooth or rough testicle, depending on teh hair growth! Rock On!

  • The dresser I went to cut my hair off 6 or 7 inches with I wanted 2 inches off!!!?

Now it's the same way it was when my parents were getting a divorce as a little girl. Its in a bob about one inch below my ears and it has no layers and goes straight around my head.

evey time I look in the mirror It just reminds me of a time period of when I was really depressed and going though a lot in my life. I can't stand looking at myself. What can I do. I don't have much money. I had hair in layers about 4 inches past my sholders and now I have hair I can't fit in a ponytail. I don't want to wear it half up because I have big ears. What should I do???

23 with the same haircut I had from 6-11 years oldThe dresser I went to cut my hair off 6 or 7 inches with I wanted 2 inches off!!!?
I think you should talk to the hair dresser about why she did not do as you asked, and see if you can get a refund.

And then, I would suggest saving up some money each paycheck while your hair is growing out, and, as soon as you have enough money, go to a DIFFERENT hairdresser (I would talk to your coworkers and see who they go to) and ask her to fix it as much as possible... discuss your options with the new hairdresser.

I'm sorry about what happened to you... I would use some bobby pins or clips at the time being to just pin your hair back. The dresser I went to cut my hair off 6 or 7 inches with I wanted 2 inches off!!!?
    Buy some clip in extensions.

I bought some very nice synthetic ones for about $75

And no one can tell they are fake hair ;D
That happened to me once; woman cut off a lot more than I said to. I went in for a 3 inch trim and she cut off 8 inches; didn't even layer it like I had asked. I had written a check and once I got home I called the bank and canceled it. Sadly there's nothing you really can do unless you want to get it cut even shorter. Wear a wig or a hat, get extensions, or else just wait it out until it grows back.
try some styling gel...make it curly and full.
go shorter? get more layers? color it? extensions? wig? my hair is 4 inches short.. its very hard to deal with.. and i suggest talking with the hair dresser.
go to the hairdresser, fight her and get ur money back

maybe extensions until it grows back?
mohawk or cropped on the top
You should have angrily confronted the hair dresser and demanded to know why she didn't follow your directions.

    Erm...wear a wig?

How do I get rid of hair color when the hair dresser paints it over my hairline and it goes a littlle on my fa?

How do I get rid of hair color when the hair dresser paints it over my hairline and it goes a littlle on my face and neck? Mainly up the top of my forehead or around the ears. I have light skin and dye my hair a light brown, but it stains my skin, and doesn't wash off for at least a couple days, sometimes a week. (the hair coloring is permanent dye, and I get it done by a professional - its not a home job or a dye in a box from the supermarket, ok)

I know it's not just me, because I see a lot of girls coming from hair dresser with small marks around their forehead or their hairline :)

What can I do to prevent the stains/marks being there, or how to remove them more quickly?

(I heard if you put vaseline there before, then the dye wont stain, unsure about this, does anyone know for sure or let me know of any of your other answer are all helpful)How do I get rid of hair color when the hair dresser paints it over my hairline and it goes a littlle on my fa?
vaseline before dying works. cigarette ashes (believe it or not) mixed with a little water and dabbed on with a cotton swab works to remove the stains. Nail polish remover and alcohol works too, but dries out your skin. How do I get rid of hair color when the hair dresser paints it over my hairline and it goes a littlle on my fa?
putting vaseline on it BEFORE hand will prevent it. But if you already ahve in on your skin....what I do is mix a little warm water with a tiny bit of bleach and rub it out with either a q-tip or a paper towel. If it is on your scalp under your hair then you'll have to wait for it to come off in washing.
she should put a base cream around your hairline before she colors but anyways it was already said but cigarette ashes and a little water..make it into a paste and use a cotton ball like she said. that works the best.
vaseline before you dye your hair, then the dye doesnt get on your skin, babywipes/makeup wipes work well.
    vaseline
remove with a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol
ok, if you are a dude why are you getting your hair dyed? thats pretty gay

    but yeah, use vaseline

My cousin is a hair dresser and she won't...?

yes, that is grounds for a restraining order and you may need some professional help
yes, but I dont think your being serious
Of course not! How silly of her.
oh yeah, this is way off base.....cause you could use the hair for a voodoo doll... or at least thats what the court said in m... in this friend of mines case....

As a hair dresser/stylist, what the heck would i talk about with my clients?

    not the weather either! lol

im a quiet person who doesnt really care to conversate about anything outside of what i do. but i know when u go to a salon people like to talk to you while they are cutting hair, i admit it makes it less awkward and stuff, so when i become one what can i say to people i have nothing in common with? im no good at starting conversations! As a hair dresser/stylist, what the heck would i talk about with my clients?
People like to talk about their kids.... so you can say do you have kids? and they will state, yes, I have a 2 year old and a 6 year old. Are they boys or girls? I have a girl and a boy. Jimmy is the oldest and Sarah is my sweetie pumpkin..... etc.

As soon as you come up with one topic, it usually gets the ball rolling. You show an interest in them, will also reward in a better tip too.. lol

    others you can mention:

Did you see on the news the other day about the.....?

I hear they are having a big sale at.....?

I am so glad the gas is finally going down to .... a gallon.

You have very fine hair. We have this ..... shampoo that would be good for it.

Have you ever considered coloring your hair? I think ...... would be a great one for you to bring out the glow.

I really like your glasses, where did you get them?

What color nail polish is that?

I love that shirt you are wearing, it's such a great color for you!

Are you doing anything special today?

What are your plans for Christmas?

Have you gotten your Thanksgiving Turkey?

Are you going anywhere for the holidays?

What do you think of this cold snap?

We sure had a hard frost last night.

There's always something you can pick up by just finding a key word.As a hair dresser/stylist, what the heck would i talk about with my clients?
i dont know im like you and i want to be a hairdresser but my mom was one and she used to ask the people if they were in school what school they went to, sometimes about music, if a song she liked came on. all i can say is just think of stuff to talk about like hair, school, the weather, the day lol

Edit: you dont have to talk to them the whole time just so its not boring for them just sittin there if your doing there hair for 2 hours lol

and also you could ask them if they want to read a magazine so there busy reading a magazine and your doing there hair so you dont really have to talk
I do not think it as important to fin things to talk about as it is to read the person that will be in your chair.

Some people don't like chatty hairdressers ~ some people are having a bad day %26amp; just want to sit ~ others like to talk %26amp; they can continue the conversation if you just ask how are you today ~ they will take it from there %26amp; you can follow ~

Personally I am usually quiet in the chair %26amp; just want to relax.

Owe ~ the day~ sports ~ your kids ~ others kids ~ fav time where you just went or a cool spot you just visited....... Whats on tv where you work...

Just relax %26amp; go with the flow

    good luck:~)
But the weather is a great conversation starter!

Wait for them to talk to you :)
honey you dont have to say a word just smile and shake your head every now and then.

They say only your hair dresser knows. I get touch ups everything time my grays start showing but I notice....?

...that a week and a half my grays start showing do you think she not doing a good job in covering them up? It costing me a lot of money. They say only your hair dresser knows. I get touch ups everything time my grays start showing but I notice....?
Obviously she isn't doing her job if they are coming back that fast. I dye my mom's hair (because she has greys too) every 2-3 months and it doesn't show within the week. I use just normal box color from the store, try doing it yourself and see if you have better results or get a new hair stylist. They say only your hair dresser knows. I get touch ups everything time my grays start showing but I notice....?
    hm...that sounds a little shady

thats ridiculous that you can see your grays after a week! if i were you id go to a different place next time and see if they do a better job then youll know if it was her fault.

thats my opinion and i know how you feel i pay a lot for mine too

And they need to know how to do any kind of hairDoes anyone know a good hair dresser in MI that wont break my pocket, and around the area of Detroit?
I forgot the name of the place but it's on Michigan Avenue just east of Telegraph Road, it should be on the South side of the street and parking is in the back. Sorry I don't remember the name of the place but you should be able to find it. It should be close the LaShish restaurant (LaShish West that is). That area is considered Dearborn area.Does anyone know a good hair dresser in MI that wont break my pocket, and around the area of Detroit?
    Google it

What is the image here '; a doll with a blond hair sit a top my dresser, scarred and bald like a chemo patient';?

Bizarre image- chemo patients do not always lose their hair and rarely become scarred.

    Good Luck.

Hi my friend is a self employed hair dresser in london so she pays the owner of the salon 50%?

and now he has told her she has to pay 17.5% VAT does anybody know why and what it is for as I thought you only paid VAT on things you buy .????Hi my friend is a self employed hair dresser in london so she pays the owner of the salon 50%?
You have to pay VAT on goods and services. The supply of the chair is a service and so if the salon owner is VAT registered, he has to charge VAT on the chair rent.

The Hair Dresser Cut My Mom's Hair Too Short, What Do I Do?

She used to be able to put it up in a handband but now she cant. She told the hairdresser just take an INCH off. But instead the hairdresser gets out a razar and starts hacking at my moms hair. My mom is upset she says she looks too old (no jokes please!!) What do I do to help her? Her hair is now above her ear and it WAS down her shoulders...The Hair Dresser Cut My Mom's Hair Too Short, What Do I Do?
Sorry, but the only thing to do is wait for it to grow. It won't take forever, but in the meantime help her accessorize with funky clips and barrettes. The Hair Dresser Cut My Mom's Hair Too Short, What Do I Do?
I have heard this so often it's ridiculous. I am a hairstylist specializing in long hair and this just urks me up!!!!! Unfortunately there are alot of hairstylist out there that are envious of other peoples hair to the point of taking just a little more off than necessary. No need to panic though. At least her hair wasn't down to her butt!!!! I have seen worse believe me. It will grow back but I would recommend your mother look for a stylist specializing in long hair that way she will get someone who will encourage her to grow her hair out and not just whack it off for the sake of having short hair like everyone else, BORING!!!!! Anyway, live will go on and her hair will grow back just to go back to this place again.
You know, it just pisses me off when hair dressers do this. She needs to find a good one for the future that is dependable and will listen to their clients. In the meantime I know she can get extensions. I had extensions and they are awfully spendy if you want ones that look good. How much would your mom be willing to spend? Or she could just get a really good wig... either way you are looking at at least 200 dollars or so. She could get really good extensions for 800 dollars or so.
You could buy some mousse and taffy. Style it to something shel like. Play with it a bit. Make it look good on her, might as wel make the best of it untill it grows out. Cause that can take a while. Spike it, put cute clips in it, headbands, and bobbly pin it back. Just make it look nice :D after a while itl eather grow on her or just wait till it tottaly grows out. hope i helped. good luck :D
    She could get hair extensions.
    Protein rich diet???

  • I want my hair like this(pic inside) what should i tell the hair dresser?

    http://photobucket.com/mediadetail/?medi

like this what should i say?I want my hair like this(pic inside) what should i tell the hair dresser?
you either show her or you say you want the top thick and bottom thin really choppy and tell her how ever long or short you want your bangs to be. she should get it. it all depends on what hair salon you go to. like were i live theres a hair salon called e cut which basically means emo haircuts.

hope it turns out good!I want my hair like this(pic inside) what should i tell the hair dresser?
take the picture to her and say this is what i want...easiest thing to say.
take this picture to your hair dresser and i bet theyll noe wat to do immediatly..and if udnt wanna take the picture tell them u want spiky layers and i guess lik bangs.. this hair cut is a bit difficult to explain ur better off witht he picture ...:]
Bring the picture to her and show her it'll go more smoothly.
bring the picture!! if you dont know how to style it like that, make sure you ask your stylist how you should style it every morning.
just print out the picture, and show her.
print out the picture and show it to her,

then your hairdresser will know exactly what you want yout hair to look like.

If you cant bring her a picture, just say you want short choppy layers at the back in a kind of emo style

Yeah its hard to explain without the pic

    Good luck

    :]
just show this pic to the hair dresser and tell her you wanna look exactly like her.
