Hair question? hair dresser advice needed!?

okay so i have shoulder length thick hair with side bangs.

i blow dry and straighten my hair everyday.

awhile ago i cut my hair and now i have short layers that make my hair look thicker and kinda boxie looking if you now what i mean.

i want to get it cut again but all i want them to do is trim it, thin it out and some how make my layer disappear

BUT im scared that when the they thin it out, it will create more layers and make the other short layers shorter.
