Should I sue the hair dresser that damaged my hair?

I got my hair done for my hubby when he came on. So i went to a shop inside a beauty supply store where the koreans own. I got micro braids so i wont have to do my hair thru the summer. During the process of my hair getting braided, the braider was putting nail glue on the ends of the braid so it wont unravel. My hair was shoulder length and healthy. Not knowing she was putting nail glue on my hair. I went back to the store to to get hair glue remover to take the braids out. In the process of taking out the braids i notice that the glue was not coming out of my hair. It was stuck together. I tried to use the hair remover solution the hair dresser told me to use. But that did not work either. So in the end result I had to pay 44.00 to get my hair cut SHORT. And I paid this lady 150.00. I went to the shop to let her know it damage my hair. She dont want to refund my money. She said to take her to court or get half of your money back . Should i sue the company and her.Should I sue the hair dresser that damaged my hair?
First of all that is absolutely horrible and I am so sorry! I think if I was you, the money and time that goes into a lawsuit would hold me back from the process. I would get ahold of the Better Business Bureau and let them know the situation and see if they have any suggestions. If they can't, I would make their life a living nightmare and post stuff on the internet, in the newspaper and tell anyone that would listen just because I would be so frustrated! I don't know if in the end it will be worth the lawsuit and lawyer but I would pursue getting the word out because that doesn't deserve to happen to anymore people.Should I sue the hair dresser that damaged my hair?
I would take 1/2 the money.. At least it is something, and you just never know how a court is going to go plus there is filing fees and all kinds of things.

However you could continue to put the shop on places like www.ripoffreport.com, bbb.org, and pissedconsumer.com that way other people will know to avoid that shop/stylist.

At least it would make a little difference.
She really said that? Dang, yes she deserves to be sued. How long was your hair? Would it take a long time to grow back? If so then yeah

Edit; I agree though with the other answers. The lawsuit will cost much more than the 150 dollars you would get in return. I think you should talk to the salon manager first and explaint the situation. Maybe you will get your refund. If not, Im sure the stylist will get what she deserves.
If you are in a business where looks matter, yes. She has ruined your hair, apperance and money. Write to the Newspaper, they usually have a column where the community speaks out. Give her a bad name!
I don't know. It depends. How much will it cost to get a lawyer? Will it financially be worth it? A lawyer will cost more than 200. Try for the refund again and see if she will give in.
Okay, heres my opinion

It was yur choice to go there in the first place,

so maybe take some responsibility for yur actions?

take half yur money back. and just get over it.
Fight, fight, fight! lol... no gurl that will be a more big situation, best thing to do is not gooo back there. ND BeAt Her asian a$$ up..lol when no ones looking attack her, smack that *****. lmao
she probably didnt know she was doing it. the court would see it as an accident.
I would to here to small court like judge judy small
Take her to small claims court.
It's just hair. S**t happens. It would be a waste of time and money to take legal action.
I cannot give you legal advice, but I would suggest that you go to a legal aid service (most cities have them) and ask what your chances are of being successful in suing the shop.

This is complicated because you should be aware of what you are doing (or having done) so you are not surprised. Part of the situation is that you didn't ask enough questions, or watch what she was doing. Part of it also is that she was taking shortcuts trying to do the job without a lot of expense.

It was not necessary to cut your hair short just to remove glue from the ends. There are products that will remove nail glue.

Yes, you should be angry that you didn't get what you expected. She is angry too because she spent all that time and product and expects to be paid for it. We are at an impasse. Communication is at fault here.
It would cost you more to sue her than you'd get back. Hair, after all, grows back. It's not like you were permanently disfigured or like you lost your job because of it. You probably wouldn't be able to find an attorney to even take the case.
I understand where you are coming from with wanting to sue her %26amp; feeling like you wasted your money. But .. you'll end up paying more money in court costs than the money you're suing for.
