Hair dresser destroyed my hair - now it's red ...?

I had light brown hair and blonde highlights. The last time i used some non-permanant dye, it turned a bit green, the hair dresser said the only way to fix it was with red. she showed me a brown copper color and finally convinced me to do it. I HATE IT ... and the color didn't set properly - the top is this firey purpley red and the rest looks washed out and totally horrible... they saw it too and didn't charge me and want to give me free dyes and stuff - I WANT IT OUT! can I at least weaken it somehow without totally destroying my hair! please help me! I'M DESPERATE !!!Hair dresser destroyed my hair - now it's red ...?
Whatever you do, don't bleach it. That will just make the problem much worse, and will probably destroy your hair.

Was the stylist a bit inexperienced compared to other stylists in the salon? Is there a stylist in the salon that you would trust? If so, I would seriously consider taking them up on their offers to fix your hair, as soon as possible. If not, I would try to get a refund (they realized they've made a mistake) and visit another salon. In the meantime though, perhaps a clarifying shampoo, Prell, or a bit of plain dish soap applied at your root area only will help to strip a bit of the purple tone out, to at least make the haircolor look more even until you can get back to the salon. (Unfortunately, this may make the root area appear a bit brighter , but it should lighten it and make the hair appear slightly more even toned.) Hopefully this helps!Hair dresser destroyed my hair - now it's red ...?
Were you using an ash color over the blonde? Typically neutral colors have enough warmth to counteract green, so a light neutral color, or experienced salon mixed color with a tiny bit of light warmth should work, but there is no need to go all red.

oh, of course they didn't charge you! they didn't want to get sued!!

bleach it. it'll turn blonde, then dye it back brown and leave it alone for awhile. this shouldn't destroy your hair if you only do it once.
the should get sued!!

or bleach your hair and color it back to the color you want.. the you should get a deep conditioning treatment or a hot oil treatment.... you dont want you hair to get dry ryt?
Well, I guess you won't have light brown hair after that... Because the only thing you can do is darkening your hair. I mean, pick a beautiful dark brown or dark red shade - that you think will look good on you. And then dye your hair with such haircolor. So, it's the only way to lose this idiotic haircolor you have right now - THANKS to the hairstylists :/// It's so unfair, I'm sad about you ;/ Of course they didn't charge you!
no... you cant really take out a color with another color.. your going to have to stick with it.. please dont try to dye your own hair or anything ridiculous.... unless you want to bleach it (bad idea) and go blonde.. see a color specialist... if you have the money and its that important to you..
