Can I sue my hair dresser?

I went to a braiding salon to get my hair braided with extensions, the women (2) that braided my hair did it pretty tight. I asked the woman working on the front of my hair several times to not braid it so tight as I knew that it would cause hair lose. She said that it needed to be tight because my hair was short (cut in a Rihanna-ish style) but I braid hair myself and know this isn't 100% true.





Anyway, the braids where so tight that I had a hard time sleeping for a few days and just as I predicted, MY HAIR FELL OUT!!! Around the front of my hairline my hair has fallen out pretty bad and I just want to know if anyone else has had this problem and if I can sue her/them?

that's life. if you knew they were doing it too tight you shouldn't have let them do it. its your own fault. Hahahaha you can't sue them for that. hahahahaha that would sound funny in court I lost 10 strands of hair so i wanna sue the hairdresser.

Fine I got that your upset about your hair but you know you won't get anywhere with it. Yeah we all have bad experiences at salons. They do make mistakes. I wasn't trying to be excesively mean the first time. I was only trying to prove my point. You know that's what it would sound like in court. Yes, you could sue, but you aren't going to win.





You knew they were doing it too tight and so you could have had them stop and take all the braids out, or have them stop and you'd remove them yourself, whatever.





I'm sorry to hear you're having problems, but unfortunately you would only waste time and money trying to sue, because you have no case.
i should think you can sue the salon because that wasnt really the desired effect :L im really nothing to do with law though so i would look it up and ask anyone you know related to the law industry or get in touch with a law firm ..good luck.. what a crappy hair salon !
Sorry sweetheart you may not be able 2 sue them because you didn't sign any papers or any legal documents that stated that they wouldn't do anything 2 harm your hair.(Especially if they were African and could barely understand English.) So when you asked them not 2 braid so tight they might use the excuse that they didn't understand you.

You can try to sue. I would contact an attorney and see if you can or not. Ask if the law office if they give one time free consultation.

actully by law yes you can.. thats like saying i can buy hair dyi and if it does somthing and i am allergic to it or that its the worng color in the box that i can sue big time.. =)..





i wanna be a hairstylist and i know we can be sued for mistakes . . this is what i think you should do.. march in there and say listen you did my hair i have hair lost.. eirther you give me treatments and fix this cheap or free or you have a law suit on your hands.. if they refuze then serve them papers =) i think you will win and you asked them to not do that.. the you always listen to the person paying for there style.. cuase they did not listen you will end up wining cuase they did not do what you asked whitch is a big no no=)
