If my hair dresser doesn't have a ceramic iron and only has a flat iron..should i ask her to use a hot comb?

im going to prom(8th grade)..and im not sure if my hair dresser has a ceramic iron, but i know she has a flat iron...but i have natural black hair....and my friends say that a ceramic iron is best but then hot comb is good too...so if she doesn't have a ceramic iron..should i just get it flat ironed or hot combedIf my hair dresser doesn't have a ceramic iron and only has a flat iron..should i ask her to use a hot comb?
Sophia, it does make a difference if a hair appliance is ceramic or not. Ceramic flat irons and curling irons reduce static and eliminate frizz from the hair.

To answer your question, since you are natural I suggest using the hot comb over the flat iron. Unless the flat iron has a variable temperature control the hot comb will do just fine. Make sure your stylist uses a heat protectant on your hair no matter what you choose.

Please don't bother checking those links Leonard provided. The sites redirected me to another site with more popups than I can count. If my hair dresser doesn't have a ceramic iron and only has a flat iron..should i ask her to use a hot comb?

Dear we use both and just because ones ceramic and the other is flat doesn't mean anything. It's what you like. I can do the same thing using my hair dryer to straighten hair. Have her use what she comfie with.
if you want ur hair curly you can wrap it in toe separators and that works with all kinds of hair. It ends up really pretty ,*wink*.
