Not sure about what to tell her but I've brought in pictures of haircuts/styles that I want. My advise is to get some magazines to find styles just like that - it's popular so it shouldn't be hard. You should tell her that you want to keep the length of your hair, but you would like to have short, choppy layers. It is hard for me to tell, but it looks like her layers start at about 5 inches out and then go through out the rest of her hair very choppy.
