ok so in april this year my colour went wrong and went black i used head and shoulders and just coped with the colour now its dark brown/black colour even though i really wish it didn't have to come to it i am very unhappy with the colour i'm hispanic but have light brown complexion skin so the colour does drain me a little so now i#m going to resort in having it stripped to my natural brown but have some questions as i am a bit nervous of doing it i plan to get it done after christmas so here goes the questions
1. how damaging is it?
2. as im getting it done after christmas is there any conditioning treatments i can do over christmas to strenghten my hair a little so it doesnt break as much after its stripped?
3. i have thickish hair i had layers that thinned it out but am just getting my thickness back will stripping my hair make it thin?
.4 last but not least! i have coloured my hair in the past so it does break from time to time also when stressed i do loose a little more hair than usual (not noticable on the scalp) is this a bad idea i dont but any stress on my hair now i dont ever straighten it and i never use a hair dryer is this still a bad idea like i said last time i coloured it was in april
thank you very much your answers will be appreciated!Nervous about having colour stripped from my hair... hair dressers advice please or anyone who had it done?
Well stripping color is very damaging to your hair. It can make your hair straw like and it can fall out more. The color won't be totally lifted you might be left with a orange or redish color. If you still get it done, when your done get your ends trimmed about a inch, so your hair can become healthier. Then use herbal essences long lasting relationship shampoo and conditioner to help the breakage and give your hair a healthy shine. I wouldn't dye it again for atleast 2-3 months, but if you do get a color you really like and think you will keep for a long time so you don't have to strip it again
