Ok. So, I'm a hairdresser, just cut many girls like this before. Ask your hairdresser for a 180 degree haircut. Ask her to over direct all the layers and only cut with a razor. This will give it that Jagged look. To get the top of the hair, she will have to do some texturizing about an inch under where your hair parts. You will need lots of product to achieve the look too. Get some Root booster, and dry spray wax, this is through the ';Big and Sexy'; line of products. Also, learn how to tease your hair, your going to have to ask your hairdresser how to do this properly without ruining your hair. Then, work it. Get the email of your hairdresser and send that pic to her, its really the only way to be sure you get what you want.

I'm sorry but the best way is to show her a picture. You could describe the hair as looking ratty and thin at the ends, or tapered and piecy and she wouldn't get it unless you showed her a pic
