When i ask my hair dresser about bangs he says huh whats that.?

I have asked for bangs at loads of salons and they always ask me what it is even in toni %26amp; guy. so what should i tell them? When i ask my hair dresser about bangs he says huh whats that.?
Cause in the UK we dont call them bangsWhen i ask my hair dresser about bangs he says huh whats that.?
';Bangs'; is a slang term used only in the United States. Most of the English speaking world uses ';fringe';. If the stylist was trained in the UK, as many of them are, they are not familiar with the term.

This just proves my point about taking in pictures of what you want rather than using words. We all understand words differently, and you can really be in for a surprise if you used the incorrect one.
ask for a fringe (straight across your forehead)

side fringe (half of fringe)

or a semetric fringe (a full fringe but on an angle/sweeps to one side)

or take a picture with you then they know exactly what you want

good luck :)

hope this helped
Well, in my opinion, they aren't experienced enough

if they don't know what bangs are. I would suggest switching your

salon.
He must be from another country(Like Australia or the UK.). It's a 'Fringe'...Bang is a American term.
bangs are a silly word for, what we Europeans know as FRINGES.

are you american or from anywhere else that isnt the UK?

Then people know them as fringes
Use your hand on your head to show them where you want them!

:) thats silly
is he from the UK

Because they know them as

FRINGES/FRINGE
I think it is a fringe
say fringe instead because thats what people in the UK call them
