Do I tip my hair dresser? If so, how much?

I'm going to get my hair cut at a nice salon this week. I'm not sure if I should tip and how.Do I tip my hair dresser? If so, how much?
as a stylist i charge what i charge and no one should ever feel as though they need to tip me. but i have been tipped anywhere from 0-30 dollars over a service. so if you want to go for it but i feel there is no injustice done if your dont tip. but if they have an assistant or a shampoo girl/guy definatly tip them.Do I tip my hair dresser? If so, how much?
If I like what the stylist did to my hair I usually tip 20%. Also I tip 20% when I have my 3 year old's hair cut since I know that is hard work cutting a child's hair! If you don't like what they did - then tell them, or the salon manager, and don't tip.
You should tip your hairdresser if you feel they did a good job. I am a hairdresser, and I do love my tips... But when I get them, I do deserve them. I think its just like any other service that you might tip for, if they treat you right, and do what you want, then yes... about 78% of people do tip their hairdressers....
only if you want to i don't cause i think we pay enough at the hairdresses to pay anymore...............

so i say no
Yes...you should tip. Especially aqt a nicer salon. It is normal to even tip the shampooer if it is a different person from the one cutting the hair. As for how much, it's up to you. If the stylist was nice and helpful leave a good tip. If you're not happy with the results at the end...TELL THEM!!! But tip them as you would a waitress/waiter. 15%. This is one way of telling us we did a good job. When we don't get tips we often wonder if we did something wrong. I hope this was of help to you!
Tip if you are happy with your service. And tip what you are comfortable tipping. Hairstylists know everyone can't afford huge tips, but something is always appreciated.
i always tip... but if your really not happy then dont!
