Im getting my hair dyed at the hair dresser, but at the moment its a bit oily... should i wash it?

I heard that if you dye clean hair the dye wont last as long but im a bit embarressed as i havent had time to wash it in the past few days and its looking oily lol

Actually I think you are supposed to wash your hair first. They will probably wash it for you before they color it.
