In the Peacock Centre there is a branch of SuperCuts. (Near the entrance to BHS I think.) You don't make an appointment but wait in line. All their hairdressers are good at cutting as that is what they are employed to do - SuperCuts don't do anything else as far as I'm aware. Cheapish option as well. I've always been satisifed.
